Wow

Today in class when professor Dolson was talking to us about the color line, and how people were grouped into categories of either "black" or "white", and nothing in between this really hit home with me. Especially after she told us that it was illegal for blacks and whites to marry eachother all the way up until 1960 something, i beleive was the date she told us. this really struck hard with me, because i am the product of an interracial relationship my self, and i love both of my parents to death, and i know they both love eachother very much too, (or they wouldnt have stayed married for 21 years haha). so just hearing that, if my parents were to have met about 20 years earlier, they wouldnt have been able to marry eachother. that is unbeleivable!
